Mr. Arslan, managing director of Translink Corporate Finance in Turkey, has an extensive experience both as a lawyer and as a consultant in Turkey and neighboring countries. Together with his partner Mr. Albayrak he founded Albars Consulting in 2010. Mr. Arslan began his career at Ernst & Young and worked as a professional in the areas of finance, corporate transactions, mergers & acquisitions and business development at several well-known law offices in both the United States and Turkey
Mr. Arslan has initiated and executed numerous cross-border M&A transactions in various industries including energy, pharmaceuticals, construction, and finance. He regularly advises foreign companies seeking to do business in Turkey on a number of issues including equity, management and control while attempting to minimize potential tax exposure. Also, he has advised and represented foreign and Turkish entities relating to large infrastructure and energy projects in both BOT and PPPs context.
Mr. Arslan graduated from the Istanbul University Law Faculty in 2000, before participating in a certificate program of the Queens College CUNY in Administrations of Law Companies, and gaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Temple University in the USA. He is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2002 and the New York State Bar Association since 2008. Mr. Arslan speaks fluent English.

Francis Sermet

Mr. Sermet is the managing partner of Albars Consulting. He acts as a strategic advisor and manages the foreign client portfolio. Besides having served over ten years in the Swiss Diplomatic Service in charge of Economic, Political and Cultural affairs in Canada, Paris and West Africa, and, 17 years as delegate for Economic Affairs of the Canton of Neuchatel, Mr. Sermet has possessed great FDI knowledge being the founder of DEWS to attract foreign direct investment to Switzerland; the former Vice Chairman of the Japanese Sunstar Group; and, the former Strategic Advisor to the Turkish Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency.

Mr. Sermet holds the Swiss Nationality and speaks English, French, German and Italian.
