Mr. Arslan, managing director of Translink Corporate Finance in Turkey, has an extensive experience both as a lawyer and as a consultant in Turkey and neighboring countries. Together with his partner Mr. Albayrak he founded Albars Consulting in 2010. Mr. Arslan began his career at Ernst & Young and worked as a professional in the areas of finance, corporate transactions, mergers & acquisitions and business development at several well-known law offices in both the United States and Turkey
Mr. Arslan has initiated and executed numerous cross-border M&A transactions in various industries including energy, pharmaceuticals, construction, and finance. He regularly advises foreign companies seeking to do business in Turkey on a number of issues including equity, management and control while attempting to minimize potential tax exposure. Also, he has advised and represented foreign and Turkish entities relating to large infrastructure and energy projects in both BOT and PPPs context.
Mr. Arslan graduated from the Istanbul University Law Faculty in 2000, before participating in a certificate program of the Queens College CUNY in Administrations of Law Companies, and gaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Temple University in the USA. He is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2002 and the New York State Bar Association since 2008. Mr. Arslan speaks fluent English.

Mr. Sermet is the managing partner of Albars Consulting. He acts as a strategic advisor and manages the foreign client portfolio. Besides having served over ten years in the Swiss Diplomatic Service in charge of Economic, Political and Cultural affairs in Canada, Paris and West Africa, and, 17 years as delegate for Economic Affairs of the Canton of Neuchatel, Mr. Sermet has possessed great FDI knowledge being the founder of DEWS to attract foreign direct investment to Switzerland; the former Vice Chairman of the Japanese Sunstar Group; and, the former Strategic Advisor to the Turkish Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency.

Mr. Sermet holds the Swiss Nationality and speaks English, French, German and Italian.

Mr. Albayrak is the founding partner of Albars Consulting. He is in charge of the company’s legal advisory services and is specialized in corporate and commercial matters. In the past ten years he has been involved in various deals of both governmental and private sector concerns, with special focus on the legal aspects of the transaction relating to share and business acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, private equity, employment as well as general regulatory matters.
Mr. Albayrak holds a law degree obtained from the Istanbul University. He is admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association since 2001. Mr. Albayrak is fluent in Turkish and has a good understanding of English.

Mrs. Geurink assisted in a number of small- and mid-sized M&A transactions in various industries and at present she is responsible for several projects, such as disposals, acquisition & merger searches, strategic planning, and other advisory assignments. Mrs. Geurink started her career as a trainee at an international buying office. She moreover worked for Junior Achievement and Bertelsmann Arvato in Turkey before joining Albars Consulting in 2010.
Mrs. Geurink holds a diploma in the field of International Business & Management Studies obtained at the Avans University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. She holds both a Dutch and Turkish citizenship, is fluent in Dutch, English, and Turkish and has a good understanding of Spanish and German.

Ms. Işik works as a research/business consultant and assists the advisors with the preparation of their executive tasks and she supports the project leaders in several projects. Besides, she is responsible for the coordination of international requests and opportunities. Ms. Işik acts as a face of the customer to the team and is the coordinator of the work system. Before she started at Albars Consulting she held several similar positions at companies active in the textile industry.
Ms. Işik graduated in the field of International Relationships from the Uludağ University in Turkey. She speaks Turkish and English.

Mr. Ertürk works as a Legal Advisor at Albars. Having worked at several prestiges Turkish law firms, he now applies his advanced legal, compliance and commercial subject matter knowledge in supporting the clients and coordinates the rendering of proactive and strategic legal services to their businesses. He has obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law at the Selçuk University in Konya, Turkey, and his LL.M. degree at the Kingston University in London, England. Moreover, Mr. Ertürk has obtained a master degree in business administration from the East London University. He is admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association and is fluent in English.
